Working Group Meeting Advances Delivery of Czech Agricultural Technologies to Cambodia

On 24 April 2026, Prof. Dr. David Herák, Guarantor of the SmartAgriCambodia Project from the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (CZU), hosted the Working Group for Technology Delivery Meeting, facilitated by the National University of Battambang (NUBB) and the Building Action for Integration and Development Engagement (BAIDE). The meeting focused on presenting and discussing the planned delivery of agricultural machinery and modern agricultural technologies from the Czech Republic to project beneficiaries in Cambodia. The discussion provided an opportunity for participating institutions and stakeholders to review the proposed technology delivery plan and its relevance to the practical needs of the project’s target groups. A total of 19 participants attended the meeting, including representatives from the Machinery Office of the Provincial Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (PDAFF) of Battambang, the Battambang Institute of Technology (BIT), and Tasey Samaky Agricultural Cooperative. Following the presentation and discussion, the participants voted in support of the proposed technology delivery plan. The meeting also brought together a representative of LRY Group, which is actively exploring opportunities for Czech smart agricultural technologies to enter the Cambodian market. The company’s involvement reflects the potential for local partnerships, technology transfer, innovation, and future investment, helping to create practical value for farmers, agricultural cooperatives, educational institutions, and other target groups of the project. The Working Group meeting represents an important step toward translating the SmartAgriCambodia Project’s technology cooperation activities into practical applications. The planned delivery of agricultural machinery and smart technologies will contribute to strengthening technical capacity, supporting practical education and training, and promoting the adoption of modern agricultural solutions in Cambodia.
