The SmartAgriCambodia project has successfully completed the delivery, handover, assembly, and initial technical training of a range of modern agricultural machinery and smart farming technologies for the National University of Battambang (NUBB). The equipment delivered to NUBB includes: Tracked autonomous robotic vehicle (UGV) Agricultural drone (UAV) Smart sprayer system Seed drill and tine harrows Cultivator Soil moisture meter with soil probes Weather station The machinery and equipment were assembled at the SmartAgriCambodia project workshop at the Battambang Institute of Technology (BIT) under the supervision of technical expert Dr. Adam Kešner from the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (CZU). The workshop serves as an important technical facility for the project, supporting the preparation, assembly, servicing, maintenance, and demonstration of agricultural machinery and smart technologies. It will also provide a practical environment for future technical training and hands-on learning activities. The assembly and preparation process brought together Czech and Cambodian technical teams, who worked jointly on equipment assembly, calibration, testing, and technical preparation. Following the installation, introductory technical training sessions were conducted for university staff and project partners, covering equipment operation, maintenance, occupational safety, and potential applications in smart and precision agriculture. The newly delivered technologies will provide opportunities for practical education and training of university students, applied research, technical capacity building, and field demonstrations. In cooperation with farmers and Agricultural Cooperatives (ACs) across Battambang Province, the equipment can also support the practical testing and demonstration of modern agricultural technologies under local farming conditions. The delivery and commissioning of the equipment represent an important milestone in the implementation of the SmartAgriCambodia project and in strengthening cooperation between Czech and Cambodian institutions in agricultural technology and education. Through continued training, research, demonstrations, and collaboration with agricultural stakeholders, the initiative aims to strengthen the capacity of NUBB and its partners to promote the practical application of smart agricultural technologies and modern farming practices in Cambodia, while contributing to the development of Battambang as an important center for agricultural innovation and technical education.
