backFirst Theoretical Training at the Center for Smart Agriculture at វិទ្យាស្ថានបច្ចេកវិទ្យាបាត់ដំបង-Battambang Institute of Technology
The newly renovated Center for Smart Agriculture at the Battambang Institute of Technology (BIT) has begun its teaching activities, with the first theoretical class conducted in the Center’s newly established training classroom. The renovated Center now comprises a training classroom, technical workshop, and project office, providing a dedicated environment for education, practical training, technical experimentation, and collaboration in the field of modern agriculture. The Center will primarily support the education and practical training of BIT students, providing opportunities to complement theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience using agricultural machinery, technologies, and practical tools. It will also contribute to the implementation of activities under the SmartAgriCambodia project, helping to connect classroom-based learning with practical applications in the field and with the needs of farmers and agricultural cooperatives. In addition, the Center is expected to serve as a hub for Czech smart agriculture technologies and know-how, creating opportunities for local students, technicians, farmers, and other agricultural stakeholders to learn about and explore innovative technologies and practical solutions introduced through cooperation with Czech partners. The first theoretical session marks an important milestone in the development of the Center and the beginning of its regular use for teaching and training activities. The combination of classroom facilities and a technical workshop will provide a foundation for integrating theoretical instruction with practical learning. The next stage will focus on practical training, bringing students closer to field-based activities and enabling them to gain direct experience with agricultural technologies and approaches being introduced through the project. The Center is expected to gradually develop into an active platform for vocational education, innovation, technical skills development, and agricultural services, supporting the advancement of modern and smart agriculture in Battambang and Northwest Cambodia.
