Digital Mapping Drone for Smarter Farming

As part of the SmartAgri Project, a collaborative field mission was carried out to advance drone-based digital mapping in Battambang Province. Drone experts from the Czech University of Life Sciences worked closely with lecturers from the National University of Battambang (NUBB) to strengthen local capacity in drone operation and NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) analysis. The activity was coordinated by the BAIDE team. Field operations covered approximately 70 hectares across four Agricultural Cooperatives located in Moung Reussei, Thmor Kol, and Rattanak Mondoul districts, as well as at the NUBB Research and Development Center (មជ្ឈមណ្ឌលស្រាវជ្រាវ និងអភិវឌ្ឍន៍). Mapping activities focused on rice, mango, longan, maize, and cassava crops.
